新田真由子
岐阜県生まれ。福島県南相馬市在住。
2002年よりアジアを旅し、人々の営みを撮影。作品を発表してきた。
フォトジャーナリズムを志すなかで、2011年の東日本大震災を経験する。宮城県でのボランティア活動をきっかけに東北で暮らすことを選び、2015年より福島を拠点に活動している。
福島とルーツである岐阜を往復しながら、土地の変容とそこに生きる人々の暮らしを見つめている。

Mayuko NITTA
Mayuko Nitta was born in Gifu Prefecture, Japan, and is currently based in Minamisōma, Fukushima.
Since 2004, she has traveled across Asia, photographing the daily lives of people and presenting her work in exhibitions. While aspiring to pursue photojournalism, she experienced the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011. Volunteering in Miyagi Prefecture led her to relocate to the Tōhoku region, and she has been living in Fukushima since 2015.
Moving between Fukushima and her roots in Gifu, Nitta observes the transformation of the land and the lives shaped by it. Her practice explores landscape as an accumulation of human choices, continuing her work from the in-between space she inhabits.
